Health and Flexibility

A useful and important measurement of health is flexibility.This applies to our physical body, mental outlook and emotional responses.

Indicators of emotional and mental flexibility include:

  • Tolerance
  • Open-mindedness
  • Curiosity
  • Thinking-outside-the-box
  • Respect for others
  • Valuing diversity.

Often, as we age, our physical flexibility decreases; we become less confident about our balance, reaction time and ability to handle stress. This sometimes translates emotionally as increasing cynicism, fearfulness, less tolerance of others and negativity.  A daily routine of yoga-type stretches can help turn the clock back.  We age much faster when muscles, tendons, joints & spine become chronically tight & stiff.

Whether you learn a stretching routine from a book or video, or take classes from a qualified instructor, regular daily practice can change your life for the better.  You'll notice:

  • Improved blood and lymph flow;
  • Stress relief;
  • More energy;
  • Better attitude & outlook;
  • Less injuries & quicker recovery;
  • An increased sense of joy & gratitude for living!

Combine daily stretching with a cleansing, whole-food diet for increased success!
